The Paul Merage School of Business is proud to sponsor or co-sponsor a growing number of events enjoyed by the School and the business community at large:


  • Business Plan Competition - The Merage School Business Plan Competition at The Don Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an  annual competition designed to be a catalyst for creating a culture of innovators and risk-takers by giving students hands-on experience working side-by-side with successful entrepreneurs.
  • Merage School Business Outlook Breakfast  - One of the year's most popular events, the Irvine Chamber of Commerce and The Paul Merage School of Business bring several of the county's business leaders together for their take on the year ahead, including economic commentary from Merage School Former Dean Andy Policano.
  • Distinguished Speaker Series - The Distinguished Speaker Series brings to campus key business leaders who address current business issues, leadership, ethics, and other relevant topics. The goal is to expose students to speakers who, by sharing their experiences and insights, will enhance student learning.
  • Health Care Forecast Conference - A national forum for the discussion and dissemination of a short term health care economic and political forecast, from both a public and private sector perspective.
  • Real Estate Conference & Achievement Award - This event addresses the most topical issues and major challenges facing the future of real estate industry by bringing together a group of recognized leaders in the real estate and building industries.
  • CIWM Conference Series - generally held quarterly, this luncheon series features timely guest speakers on topics of finance, economics, investments and wealth management.
  • Research Colloquia - The Research Colloquia provide a forum for interaction among faculty, students and visitors interested in the applications of business and management with presentations by a variety of faculty from both the Merage School and other universities / research institutes.
