Giving Back to the Merage School

The top business schools across the country have

been built by strong alumni commitment and support. The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine is no exception. We offer alumni valuable opportunities to support the School. The following options highlight some of the areas where your support can make a strong impact on the future of the School while also increasing the value of your degree.

The Merage School Fund: Alumni participation provides much needed resources that help improve the School’s national reputation through scholarships, technology improvements and the quality of programs we offer. A gift of any size can make a difference with gifts of $250 and above receiving special recognition. Alumni are encouraged to make a Merage School Fund tax-deductible gift via the online e-giving site at www.egiving.uci.edu and be sure to designate The Paul Merage School of Business. Also at this site you can check to see if your employer will match your gift. Matching corporate gifts can help to double or even triple alumni support.

Dean’s Leadership Circle (DLC): The Dean’s Leadership Circle is the premier network for Merage School alumni as well as high-powered business leaders in the community. The Dean’s Leadership Circle has become the largest academic support group on the UC Irvine campus and provides a year-long calendar of opportunities to engage with fellow members. Via the DLC, alumni show a higher level of commitment directly to the business school while providing critically needed funding to the highest priority needs which allows the school to move more quickly to the next level of success. Through the years, the DLC has provided support towards classroom renovation and technology upgrades, faculty recruitment and most recently a $1 million endowed professorship to be awarded to a distinguished faculty. Annual DLC member levels range from $1,500-$5,000. Benefits vary by level.

Centers of Excellence: The Centers of Excellence serve as the bridge between the campus and the community. All of the centers listed below welcome your involvement and participation.

Alumni Building Campaign: Planning is in process for a new high-tech facility to be constructed on the Merage School campus. Alumni have brought us to this point, and our new building will be a living testament to everyone who has built the Merage School to its current level of prestige and who will push it to new heights. Through this new building, we will capture the value of our joint investment in the future - to succeed as individuals while we contribute to our School and our society at large. Naming opportunities are available to individuals, families, and alumni by class years and/or sections.
