Monthly Networking Luncheons
Monthly networking luncheons are held on the first and fourth Fridays of each month (see links below).
Lunches begin promptly at 11:45 am and conclude at 1 pm. Each guest has the opportunity to introduce themselves and provide a brief update on their personal and/or professional life. Don't forget to bring your business cards for networking. Following each event, all guests are emailed scans of the business cards to further facilitate the networking process. Please note lunches are open only to Merage School/GSM/GSA alumni and current major students.
PIMCO's Kiesel to Speak on Global Economic Outlook at OCMBA Event

OCMBA presents Mark Kiesel, CIO Global Credit and a managing director at PIMCO, who will speak on "Global Economic Outlook and Investment Strategy Today...What Should Investors Do Now?" Kiesel is a member of the Investment Committee, a generalist portfolio manager and the global head of corporate bond portfolio management, with oversight for the firm's investment grade, high yield, bank loan, municipal and insurance business as well as credit research. Morningstar named him Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year in 2012 and a finalist in 2010. He has written extensively on the topic of global credit markets, founded the firm's Global Credit Perspectives publication and regularly appears in the financial media. He joined PIMCO in 1996 and previously served as PIMCO's global head of investment grade corporate bonds and as a senior credit analyst. He has 22 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Cost is $25 in advance (by March 22), $35 on-site, cash only, if space available. Includes valet parking, hors d'oeuvres and cash bar. Business casual is the minimum dress code at The Center Club (no denim). Registration.
OCMBA 'Leaders for Philanthropy Night' Features Doti

In conjunction with OCMBA, Merage School alumni are invited to attend the seventh annual Leaders for Philanthropy Night featuring keynote speaker James L. Doti, President and Donald Bren Distinguished Chair of Business and Economics, Chapman University. This is an opportunity to experience the impact of philanthropy by Orange County business leaders that makes a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities served by the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center. See a demonstration of the unique role horses can play in helping people with disabilities significantly improve the quality of their lives. Enjoy a buffet and beverages, a networking reception, a therapeutic riding demonstration, Shea Center tours, as well as a presentation from keynote speaker Doti.
