A Message from the Dean
"At the Merage School, we encourage partnerships with southern
California’s most innovative business leaders. This win-win
collaboration provides new and better opportunities for businesses
to take advantage of our best research and resources.
We invite you to join us."
ANDREW J. POLICANO
Dean of the Merage School
About Us
The Dean’s Leadership Circle (DLC) at UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business is the premier business network for executives in southern California and beyond. Members from diverse industries have a special interest in supporting management education at our world-class university while building stronger ties in the business community. While many of our members are alumni, this high-powered network also includes successful business leaders, faculty, staff, and friends of UC Irvine and the Merage School.
Since its inception in 2005 by the newly-appointed Dean Andy Policano, the DLC has raised over $2.7 million in pledges from nearly 400 dedicated members. When the School was founded in 1966, private support was not a priority. Today, however, it is critical to help move Merage to the very top tier of all business schools. The Merage School consistently ranks among the top 10% of business schools world-wide. Our reputation for graduating business leaders with the exceptional ability to help grow their organizations through strategic innovation and analytical decision-making has been realized by our faculty, students and partners through an intimate atmosphere that allows for a highly collaborative learning environment.

Our Mission
The overall mission of the Dean’s Leadership Circle is to help move Merage to the top tier of all business schools. Private support from alumni, leaders in the business community and corporations is critical to help achieve our mission.
Especially in today's economic climate, the need to strengthen the foundation of business education is as important as ever.
We invite you to join the Dean’s Leadership Circle and participate in this important campaign that will enhance the School’s ability to attract and retain the highest caliber of scholars to teach and research at our institution, providing a quality learning experience for all students, alumni and business leaders.
