Faculty Position in Accounting

 

The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates to fill one position as a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate or Full Professor in Accounting (with a preference for a seasoned Assistant, an Associate, or a new Full Professor) to begin as early as July 1, 2016, subject to budget approval.  We will consider candidates in all areas, although, preference may be given to those who teach financial accounting, international accounting, or tax.

     
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. For tenure-track Assistant Professor, the Ph.D. must be completed by the start of the academic year 2016. For all candidates, a demonstrated interest in and capacity to do research publishable in top-tier accounting journals as well as a commitment to excellence in teaching is expected. Salary will be commensurate with prior performance and experience.

Senior Faculty Position in Real Estate

The Economics and Public Policy Area of The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine announces one position in Real Estate to begin as early as July 1, 2016. The position is designated for either a seasoned Assistant, tenured Associate, or Full Professor. Depending upon research record and interests, a joint or courtesy appointment in the Finance Area is possible.

QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking applicants with a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. All areas of real estate finance, economics, or related areas such as planning or public policy will be considered. The applicants should have a demonstrated strong research record and potential, a commitment to excellence in teaching, and an interest in participating in the growth of a collaborative academic program in real estate, with supplemental support offered through the resources of the externally-funded Center for Real Estate. Salary will be commensurate with prior performance and experience.

REAL ESTATE AT THE MERAGE SCHOOL:
The school provides a supportive research environment and offers MBA, PhD and Undergraduate degree programs. The real estate faculty member would benefit from strong collegial relationships, both within the Merage School, primarily in the Finance and Economics/Public Policy areas, and more broadly across the University, especially in Law, Economics, Engineering, and Planning, Policy, and Design.
