John O'Connor leads the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Program at Cisco. John’s team has responsibility for Cisco's supply chain risk analytics, crisis management program, business continuity planning program, and supply chain and product resiliency programs. John is also the Chairperson for the Supply Chain Risk Leadership Council, a forum of supply chain & risk management practitioners from best-practices firms such as Proctor & Gamble, Boeing, FedEx, DHS and others.
John has over fifteen years of supply chain and procurement experience. John started his supply chain career working with IBM in Somers, New York. In his last role with IBM as Director of Global Procurement & Business Transformation, John was responsible for managing IBM's buy-side processes and systems transformation program globally. Following IBM, John moved to California, where he was Vice President of Manugistics's Pricing & Revenue Optimization business unit, and then joined Vivecon Corp. as Vice President responsible for their Supply Chain Risk Management practice.
John received his JD, MBA and M.S. in Information Systems from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) and his B.A. from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, MI).
