Brief Bio

Mr. Richard Minot received his BS in Accounting at the University of Rhode Island in 1975.  Mr. Minot is a member of the  California Society of CPAs and the National Society of Public Accountants.  Mr. Minot has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978 and is currently the owner of Minot Accountancy Corporation.  He was a professional speaker with Gear Up Tax Seminars, a national seminar firm (1991-1995) and Sharpen Up Tax Seminars, (1996-1999). He is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Rhode Island and speaks annually to various accounting groups on accounting, tax and ethics matters. He was an instructor at Coastline Community College teaching basic accounting/bookkeeping and developing and teaching tax update courses for local preparers (1979-1984), headed the audit department at a local firm (1978-1980), worked at Price Waterhouse &Co. (1975-1978) and was a civilian contractor in Vietnam (1970-1972).
