Brief Bio
Steve Danley earned his BA in Political Science and MBPA in Business and Public Administration from UCI.  For the past 27 years, Mr. Danley has worked for the County of Orange in several diverse and critical management assignments.  Currently, after a nation-wide search completed in January 2008, Mr. Danley was appointed by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to fill the newly created position of Performance Audit Director.  In this assignment, Mr. Danley independently assesses the performance of Orange County government operations and programs.  A sampling of prior County assignments include serving as:  the Director of Administration for three County Departments (OC Public Works, OC Waste & Recycling, Office of the District Attorney); Chief of Organizational Development/Assessment for the County Executive Office; Deputy Director over Regional Landfill Operations; and Human Resources Team Manager for several county departments.  On the academic side, Mr. Danley has lectured at UCI for the past seven years, and given classroom presentations at UC Santa Barbara and Biola University.  In his spare time, Mr. Danley has served as an NCAA Basketball Referee and a member of the Board of Trustees of a Charitable Foundation.
