Brief Bio

Mr. Kevin McKenzie earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Environmental Design (Architecture) and an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.  He is a licensed California real estate broker and full member of the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP.  Kevin is an active real estate investor and also partners with Orange County-based Parker Properties who is a leading developer of institutional-quality office property.

Mr. McKenzie has established his career in real estate as a developer, principal investor, trusted advisor and as an architect.  He was formerly a shareholder and Senior Vice President with Buchanan Street Partners responsible for advising, structuring and placing debt and equity capital solutions within the Debt and Structured Finance division of the firm.  Prior to joining Buchanan, Mr. McKenzie was a Vice President of AEW Capital Management responsible for acquisitions and investment management for several clients.  Prior to AEW, he worked for the J.E. Robert Companies’ joint venture with Goldman, Sachs & Company where he underwrote large, bulk loan portfolios and managed complex, non-performing loans and real estate.

He is an enthusiastic volunteer to the Boy Scouts of America and sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Orange County Council and chairs the Property and Camping committee.

He also works with the Advisory Committee of the Center for Real Estate at The Paul Merage School of Business.
