Professor Mansinghka has been an adjunct faculty member in the department of finance, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 2001. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (1966) and earned M.S. (1968) and Ph.D. (1971) degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. He received CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter in 1992.
Prior to joining HKUST, Professor Mansinghka was on the faculty of University of California, Riverside (1971-75) and San Francisco State University (1976-2000). He has been a visiting faculty at the University of California, Berkeley and Davis, Santa Clara University, China European International Business School, Shanghai, and Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Professor Mansinghka has received several awards for his teaching including an ‘Award for Excellence in Teaching Innovation, HKUST, 2001’ and recognition by the Dean of School of Business and Management as a distinguished teacher. He has taught finance related courses for undergraduate, MBA, M Sc and Executive Programs at HKUST and other institutions.
Professor Mansinghka has had extensive consulting, administrative and research experience. He has served as a consultant to various profit and non-profit institutions. He has also served as a director on the board of several non-profit institutions. His research has been published in leading finance journals. He is currently involved in several research projects dealing with financial issues in Hong Kong and India.
