Mort Pincus is Dean’s Professor of Accounting at The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. Since joining UCI and the Merage School in 2005, he has also served as Associate Dean for the Undergraduate Program in Business, as Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee, and as Accounting Area Coordinator.
At Merage, he has taught the core financial accounting course in the EMBA and FEMBA
programs, several PhD seminars, and a freshman seminar.
He earned an undergraduate degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Economics, both from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. His doctorate is from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He has public accounting experience with Arthur Carroll & Co. (Philadelphia) and Price Waterhouse & Co. (Pittsburgh), and is a CPA.
