Brief Bio
Paul Gray is Visiting Professor at the Paul Merage School of Business at UCI and is affiliated with the Center for Research in Information, Technology, and Organizations at the Paul Merage School. He currently specializes in management science, business intelligence, knowledge management,and decision support.

He is Professor Emeritus and Founding Chair of the School of Information Science at Claremont Graduate University. Before coming to Claremont in 1983, he was a professor of industrial engineering at Stanford University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and of management science at the University of Southern California, and Southern Methodist University. He began his career as a professor over 35 years ago and served as department chair for 15 years.

Prior to his academic career, he worked for 16 years in research and development organizations including nine years at SRI International.

Gray is curator of the PC Museum, named for him, at Claremont Graduate University.
Publications
Research and Publication:
  • Author of three "first papers": in crime and transportation, in telecommuting, and in group decision support systems.
  • Co-principal investigator the NSF study of the societal impact of personal computers
  • He is the author of over 140 journal articles and 14 books
