Tom Kozicki
Executive Director, MBA Career Center

Tom Kozicki is the Executive Director of the MBA Career Center.  He joined the Merage School of Business in 2006.  Tom has 25 years experience in higher education administration and has held senior level management positions in career management, alumni relations and student affairs. From 1993–2003 he was the Executive Director of the MBA Career Resource Center at the USC Marshall School of Business and (2003–2006) was the Managing Director of the USC Alumni Association.  Tom began his career in sales and marketing in the computer industry.
 

Tom has been active in professional associations and on non-profit boards, and has served as a speaker, panelist, and moderator at numerous professional conferences. He served on the Board of Directors of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (1999-2003) and served as President and member of the Board of Directors of the MBA Career Services Council (2007-2010.) Tom’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and graduate business studies at the USC Marshall School of Business.

 
 
 
  Nan Stothard
Senior Associate Director, MBA Career Center

Nan Stothard is the Senior Associate Director of MBA Career Services and MBA Career Advisor and oversees all training and advising services for the Center. Nan is a recognized expert in the field of training.  Her extensive experience includes a 15-year career with Right Management Consultants where from 1997 – 2005 she held the position of Regional Vice President leading consulting services for the Southern California Region. Most recently, she was a Learning Partner at Option One Mortgage Corporation, leading an acculturation program for executives expanding their business in India.

Nan holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in Educational Psychology. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, the MBA Career Services Council and the National Human Resources Association.
 
 
 
Lesli Ferrell

Associate Director, MBA Career Center

Lesli Ferrell joined The Paul Merage School of Business in 2011. Her focus will be on accelerating relationships with companies who will ultimately hire our students. This kind of customer marketing is in her DNA. She has worked in a leadership role for the past 20 years creating strategic alliances and building brands in the CPG and foodservice arenas. Her career includes Marketing management roles with 20th Century Fox, Aramark Sports and Entertainment, PepsiCo and the Coca-Cola Company.

A former board member with the National Black MBA Association, Lesli is a graduate of UCLA and holds an MBA from Howard University in Washington DC.
 
 
 
Chris Kovitz
 
  Chris Kovitz
Associate Director, MBA Career Center

Chris Kovitz is an Associate Director of MBA Career Center and MBA Career Advisor.  Chris joined the Paul Merage School of Business in January of 2010.  Most recently, Chris was with the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, where he held the role of Associate Director of Experiential Learning within the MBA program. . Before pursuing his passion for training and coaching, Chris worked for over fifteen years for Fortune 500 companies, including Abbott Laboratories, Eaton Corporation and Deloitte Consulting and held several leadership and managerial positions within Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Project Management.  He also brings a wealth of international experience, having led projects in Europe, Africa and Asia.  Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.
 
 
 
Tammy Steensland

Associate Director, MBA Career Center

Tammy Steensland has the valuable and unique perspective of being on both sides of the staffing and development equation, both as an internal acquisition specialist and developer of talent on the company side, and as a career coach helping clients in career transition. She has over 15 years of experience working for such Fortune 500 companies as General Electric, Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) and Pepsi Bottling Group in various roles including Regional Staffing & Training Manager. As a Career Consultant at Right Management Consultants, she delivered career transition services for departing employees of companies throughout the Southern California region. Tammy earned an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University. She is a Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC) through the Career Coach Academy, a program recognized by the International Coaches Federation. She is also a member of the National Human Resources Association and the American Society of Training and Development.
