Kasey Adamchik MBA Class of 2010 kadamchi@uci.edu
Kasey Adamchik is a second year Full-Time MBA student and a Merage Fellow focusing on Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. She is VP of Communications for the Human Resources/Organizational Behavior Club. Kasey graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with University Honors and a minor in Russian Studies. During her undergraduate experience, Kasey spent a year studying abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Kasey accepted a position with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Washington Federal Practice in Washington, DC. Kasey spent three years as a consultant at PwC, developing and delivering financial training initiatives and communication outreach programs for a federal agency. This experience allowed Kasey to develop her communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills and honed her interest in human capital development and management. During her tenure with PwC, Kasey earned her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certifications.
Kasey’s interest in human capital development and management and desire to transition into the Human Resource business function led her to obtain her MBA. Kasey chose The Paul Merage School of Business because the program offered a small class size, the Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior concentration. In addition, the student body is diverse, leadership opportunities are endless, and the faculty and staff are invested in providing each individual with the resources and guidance necessary to succeed.
This summer, Kasey worked as an MBA HR Intern with Amgen, a biotech company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. Her twelve-week summer internship consisted of a number of projects in the area of Talent Development. In her free time, Kasey looks forward to traveling, reading, and exploring California!
