A Day In the Life

Finally, Winter Break...

Five days ago, I completed my most exciting, but demanding, quarter here at Merage in the FEMBA program.

I decided to take several courses, primarily in finance: Macroeconomics, Behavioral Finance, Private Equity & Venture Capital, and Financial Statements & Analysis.
I entered this quarter with a refined scope of what my next career search would include (like all aspiring MBA’s I-Banking, Hedge Fund Management, Arbitrage Trader), only to figure out it was to generic and broad.  After several challenging finals, I feel that I am focused, driven and (almost) relaxed.

I realized that forcing myself to operate with very thin margins of time which subjects and projects really drew most of my attention.  This quarter helped me confirm that Mergers & Acquisitions is still my career goal and passion and has been the most eye-opening quarter for me at Merage thus far.

I am excited to spend the next few weeks home in New York to rest over the break, but I am looking forward to returning in January to channel my energy into utilizing other options on campus.   I plan to harness the Alumni Network & Dean’s Leadership Circle’s connections to begin my pursuit of changing my career to join an I-Banking M&A team.

Enjoy the holiday season!
