Mentorship Program

“ The Corporate Mentoring Program has been a rewarding and fun experience for me. A significant benefit for me has been that my mentee discussions have at times reminded me of the importance of developing talent in my own organization - a reminder we all need at times. I always look forward to meeting new mentees to see what their unique career aspirations and questions are and to see how I can help them.

Mentor Michael J. Numamoto
Vice President, Market Development
Edwards Lifesciences

“I have been a mentor for several years and each time I gain as much as I hope my mentee gain from me. It's fun and challenging to take each person's background and perspective and tailor it into a career development plan. Being a member has given me the satisfaction of helping someone while gaining a friend in the process.

Mentor Terri Garner, MBA 1995
Manager, Marketing Operations
Verizon Wireless

“The mentorship Program provided an unique opportunity for me to seek guidance, counsel, and validation during my career search process. I am still in touch with my mentor to this day.

The Corporate Mentoring Program:

Meet an Exceptional Role Model
When you participate in the Corporate Mentoring Program, you put experience in your corner. Offered through the Center for Global Leadership and Team Development, these one-on-one partnerships pair third-year FEMBA students with senior level executives in their chosen functional area and/or chosen industry. You can gain a deeper understanding of the mentor’s field and receive the kind of feedback, advice and input only seasoned professionals can provide.

Mentors come from a variety of fields and industries and are typically at the senior management level. They are professionals who welcome the opportunity to provide guidance and coaching to students with exceptional potential.

Students in the program may have the opportunity to:
  • Learn about specific jobs, career paths, organizational cultures, and industries
  • Receive constructive feedback about personal and business skills
  • Attend onsite meetings or tour the mentor’s company
  • Develop an understanding of organizational cultures
  • See in action the skills and abilities required for successful leadership
  • Network with the mentor’s organization and colleagues at events or business functions
