Student Intranet

In today’s business world, IT is interwoven through all aspects of business. It’s the same at the Paul Merage School of Business. Students here have advanced technological tools to help them manage and streamline their MBA experience.

One of those tools is Catalyst, the Merage student Intranet. All Teaching Assistant review sessions are broadcast and conducted through Catalyst. Students can watch the review session live, or through the archive. In addition, they can ask the TA questions in real-time through Catalyst’s messaging system.

The Catalyst Intranet also allows students to:

• View their courses, grades, assignments
• View an extensive calendar with all FEMBA and Merage related events
• Post job postings and events to all current students and alumni
• Communicate with faculty (via anonymous posting)
• Conduct online instant messenger/chat team meetings
• View and download class notes, syllabi and lecture PowerPoint presentations
• Manage enrollment in student clubs and Merage organizations
• Research financial information on companies (through E-Library) with exclusive access to Lexis Nexis, DataMonitor, Hoover’s, Business Insights and many other research-related tools
• Search our expansive Alumni network by name, company, title, and geographical location
• Search course descriptions, faculty research areas, and an expansive UC Irvine directory
• Create and distribute surveys to Merage Students, alumni, or custom groups
• Search all Merage job postings, sign up for career workshops, and sign up for campus recruiting events through Career Services
