Students in the Fully Employed MBA Program at Merage play a vital role in the Merage Student Association. Student leaders, called Section Representatives, hold their positions from the time they are elected until graduation. They serve as sounding boards for the students in their section, providing feedback from their fellow classmates to the Merage Student Association and the FEMBA Program Office. The following is a list of brief profiles of our current Section Representatives:

Company: Time Inc: This Old House Ventures
Title: Sales Planner
Education: UC Santa Barbara - B.A. in Global Studies
Professional background: Managing Broker of Goodwin & Thyne Properties and Advertising Sales for This Old House Ventures
Favorite part about Merage: The students and faculty that have made this journey such a memorable experience.
Career aspiration: To make a difference in the world and to effect positive change in organizations and communities I am a part of.
Activities as a FEMBA Section Rep: Outside of planning and organizing events, my goal is to help my fellow section mates achieve their goals within the MBA program. I meet with them individually to understand what they want to accomplish during their time at UCI and find an avenue for them to achieve their academic and professional goals.
Something unique about yourself: I am a member of several philanthropic organizations: Habitat for Humanity, Heal the Bay, and MS Society. I coached a League, winning "Freshman High School Basketball Team".

Company: House of PlumRed
Title: Founder/Owner
Education: UC Santa Barbara - B.A. in International Relations, Minor in French
Professional Background: After a couple of years in sales and mentoring during college, I spent my days busy as a Sales Operations Manager in the Telecommunications industry, while spending nights tutoring. I, however, always had a passion and curiosity for entrepreneurship. In 2009, I launched an online clothing line called House of PlumRed and began freelance designing.
Favorite part about Merage: My favorite part is the opportunity to create relationships with so many different people who will be growing and developing with me.
Career aspiration: To truly find my niche as an entrepreneur with a business that will of course bring success, but most importantly bring more positivity into the community!
Activities as a FEMBA Section Rep: Beyong building relationships within our group, I hope to truly bring together this group of leaders and develop as many opportunities for individuals to achieve what it is they want to achieve. I truly want to make sure everyone has an enriching experience for the next few years we are together.
Something unique about yourself: I was born in Manila, Philippines, and as a child I wanted to be a cartoonist or an international spy

Company: Popular Community Bank
Title: Branch Assessment Analyst
Education: BA, Economics, University of California, Irvine
Professional background: Banking and Finance
Favorite part about Merage: The close, family-like feel of the school - the students are awesome, great networking opportunities, and the faculty/staff really take care of us.
Career aspiration:
Short term is to get my CPA license and become an Auditor. Long term is to become a CFO of a Fortune 500 company.
Activities as a FEMBA Section Rep: Most importantly, making sure my classmates are getting the most out of the FEMBA program. To make this happen, I work with other Section Reps, MSA, professors and the FEMBA Office to communicate and create events and opportunities that will benefit my classmates and the program.
Something unique about yourself: If I did not go into banking, I would probably have become a teacher. I love working with kids and spend much of my free time working with them through church and after-school programs. Sometime in the near future, I plan to start a non-profit organization for kids. The goal of the organization would be to find and develop talents for kids to set them on the right track toward their future goals and to create opportunities that may not be available to them.
