One contractor built his own lightweight-portable masonry saw for his crews, and when that proved serviceable he made several more.&amp;nbsp; Eventually, he approached MK Diamond Products Inc., a Torrance, Calif., manufacturer of masonry cutting and polishing equipment, and suggested it produce a more refined version of the saw.&lt;/p&gt;
