The entrepreneurial and innovative community of Orange County is world-renowned. This community provides a platform for some of the best research opportunities in innovation available anywhere. The Don Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship utilizes this setting and produces research that gives us a new theoretical understanding of innovation, entrepreneurship and technology-based firms. Our research adds to the fundamental base of knowledge and provides applicable, relevant source material for the entrepreneurial community, as well as students of The Paul Merage School of Business.
The primary topics of study emanate from issues that confront the practitioner: the innovation process, sustainable innovation, success drivers for the entrepreneur and/or the start-up, the design process, product development, effective use of teams, and the valuation of new products.
