Our Mission
“The Center for Digital Transformation (CDT) conducts and disseminates path-breaking research on how organizations must adapt their strategies, business models and operations to reflect the evolving digital environment.”
The aim of the Center is to generate and disseminate knowledge that helps businesses, governments and society adapt to and leverage the possibilities enabled by emerging digital technologies. To do so, the Center must identify and execute a research agenda that identifies and addresses the major opportunities and challenges in this arena. In particular, the Center must develop a dialog between academics, business executives (from both the supply and demand sides of digital technologies), and policy makers.
- The Center will provide a forum for academics to work in partnership with businesses, non-profits and government on cutting-edge research that is of value to industry and society.
- The research questions that the Center will examine are best addressed by adopting multiple theoretical lenses. The Center will serve as an interdisciplinary research institute drawing on economists, behavioral scientists, sociologists, and computer scientists to help understand the emerging digital business environment.
