Center Membership Opportunities

Board membership is by invitation only, and has been created based upon a need in the local community and beyond to further support the initiatives set forth by the Center. We would like to engage select companies that have a continued interest in participating on the board. These companies will help to increase visibility and distinction to CIWM.

VALUE OF MEMBERSHIP

Educational: A major strength of the Center is the academic knowledge base and environment that the university can provide for the sharing of cutting edge ideas. Center members have an opportunity to serve as guest lecturers in our wealth management course, which is an added benefit for our students who are pursuing similar career paths. The Center is now focused on publishing an online Wealth Management journal that will include a blend of academic and practioner papers focused on applied knowledge.

Safe Harbor: Safe harbor for individuals and professionals who seek critical knowledge, research and information without bias. Our Center members are seasoned professionals who enjoy networking with one another, and many of them are actively involved in giving back to the community. These like-minded individuals are at the stage in their career where they are looking “outward” to help others and enjoy a neutral territory in which to share ideas and build their contact base.

Learning and Research Environment: The Center offers a wide variety of programs during our board meetings that cover relevant and hot topics related to the investment & wealth management field. This allows our Center members to sharpen their skills and enhance their careers, and enjoy a networking reception following these sessions. Our world class faculty members and hand selected guest speakers continue to be an enticing draw into the Center for Executive-level Education.

Volunteer Opportunities: Members meet quarterly to discuss strategy, programming, curriculum development, and ways to further provide services to meet the educational and research needs of the community, such as our highly successful Financial Literacy Summer Residential Program. Members have the opportunity to direct the key areas of the Center both in terms of programming for professionals, the community, and students as well as the research that the Center generates.
