Audit Partner, KPMG LLP Celina J. Doka is an audit partner in KPMG LLP’s Orange County office. She has specialized in the real estate industry throughout her twenty-seven year career with KPMG, and is Partner-in-Charge of the office’s real estate audit practice. Celina has extensive experience in providing accounting and auditing services for a wide variety of publicly and privately held real estate industry clients including real estate investment trusts (REITs), hotels, operating partnerships, homebuilders, developers, institutional real estate owners and advisors and engineering/contracting firms. She has provided technical advice on financial reporting, initial and secondary offerings, debt financing and due diligence activities relating to mergers and acquisitions and leveraged recapitalization transactions. Celina has also assisted clients with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance efforts. Celina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA,) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA.) She is also a member of various industry associations including the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP,) the Building Industry Association (BIA,) Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT.) Celina’s professional commitment extends to the world of academia. She is a current board member, and former Chair, of the Advisory Council to the UC Irvine Paul Merage Graduate School of Management Program in Real Estate. The Council consists of community leaders in the real estate industry, and provides market perspective on key issues to refine and develop the program’s curriculum. An active member of the community, Celina has demonstrated her commitment to women’s rights and to the advancement of women through her active involvement with Human Options, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence, and helping its victims and families. She also chairs the organization’s Finance Committee. Celina is a dedicated patron of the arts and through her membership in The Sound of Music Chapter of The Guilds of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, has helped create greater awareness of, and support for, Orange County’s art community. She is a current member of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, and while a member of the Chamber’s board, served as chair of its Finance Committee. Celina graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and economics.
