Ernst & Young
John R. French is a leader in Ernst & Young’s Southern California real estate practice. His clients include many of the major real estate owners and developers located in Orange County. He has extensive experience with SEC reporting and compliance and auditing public and private real estate companies. His specialties include: homebuilders, land developers, REITs, real estate investment funds/advisors and hospitality companies.
He is an active member of Ernst & Young’s National Homebuilder, REIT and Opportunity Fund Practice Groups. He has served as the technical independent review partner on many real estate companies and acts as an instructor of GAAP for real estate companies. He also has experience with REIT formations and IPO’s, mergers & acquisitions, REIT privatization, UPREIT and DownREIT transactions.
John is a member of AICPA, California CPA Society, National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and is a full member of the Urban Land Institute. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California and Nevada. John graduated from California State University, Long Beach (BS and MBA).
