 The Merage Real Estate Association (MREA) is a student run organization that works closely with the Center for Real Estate. Formed to assist Merage School of Business MBA students interested in pursuing careers in the real estate industry, the organization’s mission is to create value for its members by providing educational, networking and career-related resources and opportunities in the real estate industry.
MREA complements the Merage School’s academic program in real estate through keeping members current on the latest trends and developments in the industry and by providing opportunities to learn from respected professionals via speaker seminars and on-site visits.
Professional networking also is a critical component of MREA’s mission. MREA is focused on building an active real estate alumni association. Moreover, MREA actively establishes mutually beneficial relationships with leading real estate professionals and organizations.
Emphasizing career related resources is the final part of MREA’s mission. In working closely with the Merage School’s Career Center and the Center for Real Estate, MREA facilitates the professional recruitment of its members via developing and promoting the organization’s Real Estate Resume Book to potential employers. MREA also builds and maintains relationships with numerous employers to increase on campus recruiting.
