On March 18-19, 2010, more than 100 board members participated in our Annual Spring Board Meeting & Symposium. The two-day event at Newport Beach's Balboa Bay Club kicked off with a reception and dinner with a keynote speech by former Congressman and SEC Chairman Chris Cox and welcoming remarks by Paul Merage. The following day featured a series of addresses, panel discussions and interactions, including a Center for Real Estate Update by Professor Kerry Vandell, keynote address by Ethan Penner of CB Richard Ellis Investors, three panel sessions headed by board members Bill Halford, Phil Belling and Robert Brunswick, and a concluding lunch session that reported the results of a new Orange County Business Leaders Survey produced by Allen Matkins and The Center for Real Estate. Special thanks to all the guests and board members who attended for making this a memorable and productive session and helping to further the Center's contribution to the real estate
community.
