Welcome to Merage Real Estate Association
The Merage Real Estate Association (MREA) is an active, student-run organization that complements the real estate MBA program and the Center for Real Estate at The Paul Merage School of Business. MREA adds value for its student members by offering a variety of educational events and networking opportunities where students learn from and interact with local real estate professionals and alumni. Additionally, MREA is focused on creating career-oriented opportunities for students who seek careers in the real estate industry.
Mission Statement:
To create value for our members by providing educational, networking and career-related resources and opportunities in the real estate industry
Objectives:
Education
The Real Estate Program at The Paul Merage School of Business not only imparts fundamentals but also teaches students how to apply them to the dynamic world of business. MREA compliments the academic program and seeks to:
- Keep members current on latest trends and developments in the real estate industry through strong community, alumni and industry networks.
- Provide opportunities to learn from local real estate professionals through speaker seminars and on-site visits.
Networking
There's no better time than now to start building your network. This year, MREA is focused on building an active real estate alumni association, in addition to its efforts in assisting members to:
- Establish mutually beneficial relationships with leading professionals, companies and organizations in the industry.
- Maximize networking opportunities for members by hosting a variety of events.
Career
With Southern California being home to several real estate companies, opportunities continue to grow with regional companies showing keen interest in hiring from the local talent pool. MREA works closely with the Career Center to facilitate recruitment in real estate by:
- Developing and promoting our Real Estate Resume Book to potential employers.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with key recruiters to increase on-campus recruiting.
