Joe Gaggero is a second year student in the Full-Time MBA program and a Merage Fellow. He is focusing on Consulting and Organizational Development. Joe spent his summer as an intern for Oakley in Talent Development; his responsibilities included developing and facilitating programs for performance management and organzational/people development. Originally from Sacramento, CA, he graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and minors in Philosophy and Spanish.
Prior to coming to the Merage School, Joe worked in the sales division for Gallo Wine Company for three years in the Los Angeles area. He was a Sales Representative for six months and a District Manager for two and a half years. As a manager, his responsibilities were focused on customer relationships and team development. As a student of leadership studies in his undergraduate education, Joe enjoyed the challenge of management in a corporate setting.
Joe chose the Paul Merage School of Business because it provides an excellent opportunity to maximize his career success, both in terms of immediate post-MBA jobs and long term achievement. The well-rounded nature of the program creates a great learning experience that is built on a strong core curriculum and a variety of extracurricular activities. In addition, he feels that the class size promotes a very personalized learning environment that will help him maximize his potential for success. This characteristic also provides invaluable networking opportunities with alumni, business leaders, faculty and fellow students.
On campus, he is involved in Challenge 4 Charity and the Vine and Hops Club.
