Paul Cofield is a send year Full-Time MBA student at the Paul Merage School of Business focusing on Entrepreneurship and General Management.  Paul spent his summer aboard in Istanbul, Turkey where he is interning under General Management.  He is involved with the Don Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and active in intramural sports.  Paul is from the Midwest and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Indiana University and also served as a Peace Corps volunteer.

Paul is currently studying abroad in Hong Kong at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Before enrolling at the Merage School, Paul worked as an internal auditor at Kroger in Cincinnati, Ohio.  As an auditor, Paul observed many functions and operations of a large, mature corporation and honed his accounting skills.  He also passed the CPA exam.

Prior to working as an auditor, Paul served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Eastern Caribbean where he taught Information Technology to high school level students.  He also actively promoted sports to at risk youth in his community, and formed and organized a club basketball team for young men to compete in national tournaments.  Paul also participated in every facet of life and culture, playing dominoes, spear-fishing and dancing in J’ouverts.

Paul chose the Merage School because of its small size, collaborative student environment and its focus on strategy and innovation.  In addition, Paul was extremely impressed with the program’s integration into the Orange County business community and focus on graduate job placement.

When not in the classroom, Paul enjoys staying fit and experiencing the southern California lifestyle.  He participated in intramural flag football and 3 on 3 basketball.  Paul also recently tried surfing for the first time and has been introduced by fellow Merage students to a diverse range of ethnic restaurants and Ktv.
