The Les Kilpatrick Student to Start-ups Entrepreneurial Skills Training Workshop Series is an annual series of presentations produced by the Don Beall Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship focused on providing UC Irvine students with practical, “how to” information about starting and managing a new venture.

The 2010 - 2011 series is composed of six workshops scheduled between January 2011 and April 2011 oriented towards building a student's skills in thinking about and preparing to become a founder of their own entrepreneurial venture. Each workshop is taught by successful entrepreneurs and consultants who enjoy sharing the secrets of their success.

2010-2011 Workshop Series

The 2010-2011 Students to Start-ups Entrepreneurial Skills Training Workshop Series aims at empowering students with the tools required to venture out and start their own businesses. We aim at developing your leadership and entrepreneurial skills and providing you with the insight of those who have successfully navigated the many obstacles that new business owners often face.

The objective of this year's series is to cover a broad range of issues that a young entrepreneur would face and enable them to be better prepared through learning from the experiences of some successful entrepreneurs. This series is oriented toward building student’s skills in business formation, whether their interest is in starting a closely held/family-owned business, a technology-based investment-grade venture, or anything in between. The program is supported by web-based distance learning materials for students who would like to pursue the subject in more detail.  For students who desire additional assistance beyond what is offered online, we offer the SCORE One-on-One program.
