Lifelong Learning For Alumni
The Paul Merage School of Business is pleased to be able to offer lifetime
auditing privileges for all eligible alumni in some of our core and
elective courses. Whether you are looking to audit a course that was not
available to you when you were a student, or looking to refresh what you
learned in a previous course, the Merage Alumni Relations Office is happy
to work with all alumni interested in coming back to audit an MBA course.
If you would like to look into the possibility of auditing a course, the
first step is to contact the Merage Alumni Relations Office at 949-824-7167.
We can then assist you with the process and steps you will need to take in
order to look into auditing a particular class and quarter. Please keep in
mind that alumni are allowed to audit courses in an MBA program that is
different than the one in which they graduated from. For example, if you
were an EMBA student, you can still look into auditing a FEMBA course
Once you have spoken with us in the Merage Alumni Relations Office, we will
then put you in touch with the appropriate Program Manager for the MBA
program (FEMBA, EMBA, HCEMBA, Full Time) in which you are interested in
auditing. The Program Manager will work with you on space availability,
faculty approvals, and other access and details that the course may require.
We look forward to working with you and getting you back into the classroom.

Auditing For Credit
The privilege of auditing courses is granted to all alumni throughout your
lifetime but cannot be recorded for credit unless you pay a fee. Therefore,
if you want it to show on your transcript you need to enroll through UCI
EXTENSION http://www.unex.uci.edu/. After filling out the registration
paperwork with the course information and paying the fee, the program
director will determine if there is room in the course you're interested
in and get the approval from the instructor. Once your request has been
approved it will be routed back to UCI Extension. Aside from paying the
UCI Extension fee, you still would have to pay for books (via the campus
bookstore or out in the open market) and secure parking.
