  1. What are some of your fondest memories as an FEMBA student?
    The friendships, the new learning, and the constant barrage of coursework!

  2. How did you choose your career path?
    Based on my analysis and supported by dealings in my work experience, I am more keen and interested in a business oriented environment with a big picture focus to make a difference.

  3. How has earning your degree at the Merage School helped you in your business?
    The program provided me the necessary background education and experiences for my current venture. Additionally, the alumni network has helped me immensely in providing feedback and comments on the viability and strategy of the venture.

  4. Can you describe your company GoJinny, and your role as CEO?
    GoJinny is an early stage venture in mobile marketing (coupons and specials) offers which seamlessly connects brands and retailers to the consumer via their mobile phone. It allows scan able mobile coupons and continuous intelligent mobile marketing capabilities – which are unique to the industry.

    It aims to change the way we shop.

    My role as the primary founder has been developing the patent pending technology, business model and marketing strategy. I have also been involved with creating and refining the business plan and obtaining suitable partners/customers/investors – which is still in progress currently.

  5. What particular skills do you think are critical for succeeding in the business world?
    A market viewpoint is fundamental to success. Understanding the market and its needs is more important than generating revenue. This requires an attitude of digesting various disparate viewpoints and researching different viewpoints of the industry players to come with a consistent solution that wins always. The other skill that is important is a very high degree of motivation and overpowering desire to succeed, which is needed to cross the unavoidable hurdles. And lastly, networking – I cannot stress the value of networking as being fundamental to business success and growth.

  6. What are some of your hobbies and extracurricular activities that you enjoy?
    Sports like tennis, hiking, racquetball. Networking, exploring new places and experiences and food.

  7. Is philanthropy important to you? If so, why?
    Yes, very much. It gives me a good feeling and makes me feel like I’m giving something back and helping others in their objectives.

  8. How do you stay involved with the Merage School and your local community?
    Through the alumni network, classmates and mailings.
