Academic Director

 

 

Professor Emeritus John L. Graham continues to serve The Paul Merage School of Business community as the Academic Director for the Center for Global Leadership. He is an expert in global marketing, international business negotiations, and business in Greater China and Japan.  He has co-authored several books (see InventiveNegotiation.com and TogetherAgainBook for details). John has also published extensively in academic and management journals including Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Journal of Marketing, Management Science, Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and the Journal of Higher Education. Professor Graham has been interviewed by numerous local, national, and international broadcast media outlets, including “NBC Nightly News” and the BBC, and written several articles for the Los Angeles Times, La Opinion, and the New York Times. He has also been a consultant for executive groups for major corporations, associations and institutions. They include Toyota Motor Sales, AT&T, the United States Trade Representative, the United States Institute of Peace, and The National Institute of Health.

 

 

 

Executive Director

 

 

William Hernández Requejo joins the Center for Global Leadership team as Executive Director. He is a UCI alumnus and graduate of Georgetown University Law Center with his JD in international law. William has taught at UCI since 1981 and for the Paul Merage School of Business for over a decade with excellent reviews. He has also taught at Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid, and was the founding director of the Asturias Business School in Spain. He is currently very much involved in developing our relationship with the University of Havana. Most recently, William was recognized as an international expert by the United Nations Development Program in the area of Foreign Investment Negotiations. In addition to his work at UCI, William has also led a locally based, international consulting firm specializing in the area of international business development and negotiation. His clients have included large multinational firms within the finance, energy, high technology, engineering and construction sectors, as well as local small and medium sized firms seeking to expand and develop international expertise. William has written two books with co-authors (see InventiveNegotiation.com).
