Under the Yellow Ribbon Program, degree-granting institutions of higher learning in the United States volunteer tuition funds not covered by the recent Post-9/11 GI Bill. Participating schools pledge to cover a percentage of the remaining expenses not met by the Bill, and the VA will match that percentage dollar for dollar. The institution can contribute up to 50 percent of those expenses not met by the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
You must have 100% eligibility under the Post 9-11 GI Bill and enroll in the Full-Time MBA, Master of Science in Engineering Management or Master of Science in Biotechnology Management programs to participate. Students attending our other Master’s programs are not eligible for this benefit because they do not pay a non-resident tuition fee.
The University of California is an approved institution to receive Federally funded education benefits.
The College Fee Waiver is available to students who are enrolled in the Full-Time MBA and Master of Science in Biotechnology Management programs. The program waives mandatory system-wide tuition and fees however it does not cover the expense of campus-based fees, student health insurance, books, parking or room and board. There are four plans under which dependents of veterans may be eligible.
Students attending our Fully Employed MBA, Executive MBA, Master of Professional Accountancy, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Master of Finance are not eligible to use CalVet Tuition/Fee exemptions (also referred to as a College Fee Waiver, Non-Resident College Fee Waiver or CalVet Fee Waiver).
