Charles Schwab Bloomberg Trading Lab

Real-time Data, News, and Analytics for Financial Professionals

About Us

The Charles Schwab Trading & Technology Lab is home to UC Irvine's Bloomberg Terminals. These are computer systems that allow users to access the Bloomberg data service, which provides real-time global financial data, news feeds, and messages.

All UC Irvine students and staff are welcome to use the lab, but must first request access and be let in by CIWM staff members. During normal operating hours, prospective users may complete the walk-in form. For after-hours and weekend access, complete the after-hours form.

Normal Operating Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Please note that after-hour requests must be submitted at least 2 business days in advance.

Bloomberg Certification

Complete the Bloomberg Market Concepts course and unlock the full potential of the terminal. The Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is an eight-hour, self-paced e-learning course that dives into the world of financial markets. BMC features four modules--economics, currencies, fixed income, and equities--combing data, news, analytics, and television to deliver key market insights.

UC Irvine Students can enroll in the course for FREE*. Participants receive a certificate of completion at the end of the course; estimated completion is approximately one week.

*For UC Irvine Students who register for BMC, the $249 USD course fee is waived in full.
