Global Initiative

The Merage School Global Initiative provides opportunities and resources for our international students to enhance in their academic and professional success and to build community.

Representing over 30 countries, the Merage School is home to over 300 international students in our graduate programs from around the world who are looking to connect with others in the international community and develop skills for their professional growth.

Three key objectives drive our programming and opportunities:

Build Community To connect our international students with one another and the business community.	Promote Awareness Create awareness of our international student community here at Merage.	Provide Programming Develop meaningful programming that benefits our students and the business community.
Outreach to our Merage School international alumni Build connections between our international student community Create meaningful engagement amongst our students and the community from a business prospective	Highlight to the business community the large number of high-quality international students at Merage One third of Orange County’s population comes from countries around the world	Develop events that provide opportunities for professional growth Connect current international students with prospective applicants Provide opportunities for international students to network and connect with one another and the community

November 13, 2023

The Merage Global Initiative held our inaugural event on November 13 during International Education Week. We had five international Merage School alumni join a panel where they provided advice on the visa process and securing a job after graduating from an international student's perspective.
