If you’re looking to make a tangible impact on our community, the Merage School encourages you to examine what you’re passionate about and, from that source of generosity, share your wealth of knowledge, resources and philanthropic support with initiatives aligned with you vision. Whether it be through alumni board membership, corporate research and project partnerships, or student scholarships and mentorship, our most trusted stakeholders have made it their mission to Educate, Illuminate and Serve in roles that make a lasting different.
With each meaningful connection, the Merage School advances research that will help guide businesses in an evolving economy and prepares students to be the problem solvers and inventive leaders businesses and communities need.
The Dean's Advisory Board (DAB) is the main advisory board for The Paul Merage School of Business. Advisors serve as ambassadors in their respective industries, including healthcare, media, tech and the VC space, reaching new constituents and championing the mission of the school.
The DLC expands the Merage School’s reach by fostering close ties with the business community and promoting student and faculty excellence. The DLC’s impact is most apparent through its grant initiative, through which members support innovative student and faculty-led organizations and projects.
Through the DLC Grant Initiative, DLC members hear firsthand the projects, and associated funding needs, of student organizations that create programs and resources that directly impact the Merage School student body. The Dean’s Leadership Circle meets annually to select qualifying grantees.
The PhD Program prepares doctoral candidates for a competitive job market by imbedding collaborations with industry partners into their education. Candidates complete research projects with direct lines to businesses that investigate current issues and provide comprehensive solutions.
Undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships at the Merage School enable talent from all socioeconomic backgrounds to access the world-class educational, mentoring and professional experiences they need to actualize their goals to become industry changemakers.
Preparing a workforce to address modern problems across the fields of business and technology requires us to cultivate a pipeline of diverse, resilient and ambitious talent. These students need support not only within the school, but through exposure to businesses and entrepreneurs so we may show them firsthand what they can achieve. Dean Ian O. Williamson has a plan for delivering solutions to industry problems through immersive student development. The key component? Sourcing local talent as both the future business leaders and program mentors.
Many gifts made to the Merage School are under $1,000. These smaller gifts add up significantly allowing our school to invest in financial aid, academics, research, and other programs.
