Merage School PhD Selected as Strategy Research Foundation Scholar

Haeyoung Koo, Merage School PhD student and vice president at Morgan Stanley, was selected as a 2017 Strategy Research Foundation Scholar and will receive a $10,000 grant to support her doctoral research “Behavioral Perspective of Hedge Fund Activism.”  Koo will also have the opportunity to participate in the SRF Dissertation Scholar Workshop as well as present her research at the Strategic Management Society annual conference.

“Please join me in congratulating Haeyoung and wishing her much continued success with her research endeavors,” said Margarethe Wiersema, Dean’s Professor in Strategic Management and associated editor of Strategic Management Journal.

The Strategy Research Foundation (SRF) awards research grants to doctoral students selected in a competitive application and review process.  This year, more than 140 applications were received.

The Strategy Research Foundation is an entity of the Strategic Management Society, the premier academic association in strategy, established to foster and financially support research in the strategic management field.
