December 14, 2018

The Center for Real Estate recently honored several business leaders for their philanthropy and community service to UCI at the Silver Anniversary Awards celebration, inducting the 25th Lifetime Achievement Honoree.

The 2018 Lifetime Achievement honoree was John French, a partner of real estate assurance services at EY. Most of the past honorees of the Lifetime Achievement Award since 1989, or their family representatives, were present to be honored.

The Rising Star Award went to Aaron Hill, president of the Bixby Land Company. The Distinguished Service Award went to Larry Casey, the president and COO at Donahue Schriber. General William Lyon, who was the Center's first Lifetime Achievement Honoree in 1989, was presented with the Special Anniversary Real Estate Icon/Power Packed Philanthropist award.

UCI trustee Gary Hunt spoke about the Center's 25 years of celebrating philanthropy, and the community service of General Lyon. Watch the video here.

Proceeds of the benefit go to support the real estate program at the UCI Paul Merage School of Business.
