“The potential of digital technologies has never been greater, providing us with the means to improve the welfare of society in meaningful ways,” says Vijay Gurbaxani, the founding director of the Center for Digital Transformation, which is housed at the UCI Paul Merage School of Business.
“At the same time, the perils of digital transformation are coming into sharper focus: loss of privacy, job loss, bias and misuse of AI systems, increasing industry concentration and decreasing competitiveness, and more,” Gurbaxani adds. “Realizing the promise and avoiding the peril will require diligent, thoughtful, aware business leaders. The Road to Reinvention conference can help leaders gain those insights.”
The conference for C-level executives, board members and senior executives will be held at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center in Irvine from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
At the conference, top executives, technology leaders and the foremost academic thinkers will deliver a day of thought-provoking conversations on how established businesses are reinventing themselves to adapt to the digital world, how startups are scaling to disrupt traditional industries, and the emerging disruptive technologies executives should heed in the near term.
Speakers include Adobe CEO and President Shantanu Narayen, Ulta Beauty CEO Mary Dillon, Acorns CEO Noah Kerner, and Taco Bell Global Chief Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg. See the full agenda here.
Speakers will address core themes such as how C-Suite executives are driving digital innovation, how businesses are leveraging software platforms to innovate, how blockchain and AI innovators are building the future, and how digital-savvy boards are navigating a successful transformation to digital.
