California Health Care Foundation and UCI Health will participate as Principle Benefactors in the 32nd annual UC Irvine Center for Health Care Management and Policy Health Care Forecast Conference on Thursday, February 23, at the Beckman Center in Irvine, CA.
As the country contends with a “tripledemic,” several notable scholars and experts will come together for the 32nd annual Health Care Forecast Conference at UC Irvine. Presentations will include an examination of recent federal and California health policy developments and how they impact core operational challenges. Speakers will discuss how sectors of the health care system are working to address health equity and social determinants of care, how providers and organizations are managing the shift to value-based care, and how innovation is enabling improved operating efficiency, patient access, care quality and health equity.
Speakers will include leaders and executives from government, academia, managed care plans, and health care delivery systems. Additionally, a Welcome Reception will be hosted on Wednesday, February 22nd, where Merage Alumna Dr. Diana Ramos, California Surgeon General will be the evening’s keynote speaker.
The conference is all the more important considering how COVID-19, the flu, and Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) have been overwhelming local hospitals this winter.
As we continue to navigate through the pandemic, health care should be at the forefront of our attention,” said Dean Ian O. Williamson. “The Health Care Forecast Conference features some of the most respected experts around the country providing crucial analysis and perspective on the industry. For decades, the conference has made an important impact in Orange County and beyond.”
Since 1992, the Health Care Forecast Conference has brought together leaders from across the country to discuss health care from a policy perspective.
The event is organized by the Center for Health Care Management and Policy, which has played a crucial role in working to research and advance policies that adequately respond to the pandemic and protect patients. Since its founding in 1988, the center has provided research on key policy issues and provided a forum for scholars and the community to discuss complicated health care topics.
“As a faculty member of the Merage School as well as an alum, I have participated in many events and find the programs hosted by the Center to be excellent educational opportunities as well as a great forum to network with other fellow healthcare executives,” said Dr. Romilla Batra, who has served on the center’s board for the last five years. “I enjoy hearing from the industry experts both nationally as well as regionally and would highly recommend connecting with the Center.”
Various sponsorship opportunities are available to contribute to the conference, which makes a global impact across the healthcare industry. Benefactor packages range from $2,500 to $100,000. The Presenting Benefactor will be highlighted in all marketing materials and will be recognized in all Center for Health Care Management & Policy events for one year, among many other benefits.
