Whether you enter our Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program with clear career objectives in a specific area of accounting or are still exploring your options, we are here to support you. We work closely with each student to identify the most promising career opportunities, tailor job search strategies, and ensure you’re ready to launch a successful career in accounting. Through our four key pillars of career advising, we will work closely with you to help you define and achieve your personal career goals.
Consultations and Workshops
Initial Career Consultation: In your first consultation, we'll discuss your career goals and provide a comprehensive overview of our Career Services. Together we’ll explore potential career paths in accounting and identify which areas best align with your strengths and skills.
Résumé and Cover Letter Reviews: Your résumé and cover letter are often your first introduction to a company, so making a strong first impression is crucial. Our Career Services team offers personalized guidance and expert tips to help you craft standout application materials.
Career and Skill Development Workshops: Our professional development workshops are designed to equip you with essential skills for success. These targeted workshops and events provide practical insights and tools, empowering you to excel in various professional scenarios.

Recruitment and Emerging Topics in Accounting
With a dedicated Career Services team, students receive personalized guidance tailored to career paths in public, corporate, and government accounting. We actively nurture our strong relationships with accounting firms and companies that recruit on campus. Students participate in multiple recruiting events, engaging with recruiters and faculty.
Winter or Spring Internship Opportunities
Eligible students in the U.S. can pursue part-time or full-time winter internships (January-March) or part-time spring internships (April-June). Internship details, eligibility, and the recruiting process will be thoroughly covered during orientation. Internships typically offer competitive pay, and strong performance may lead to a full-time job offer. Please note that internships are not guaranteed, but they are a valuable stepping stone to future opportunities.
Career and CPA Exam Preparation
As a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) student, you'll receive personalized career guidance and training tailored to your goals. Upon graduation, you’ll have met the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam, and we’ll offer guidance on how to apply, study, and pass.
The summer career fair prepared me for upcoming speaking engagements and Meet the Firms. It was really nice forming connections with professionals before school started because I was able to maintain that connection throughout recruitment. These professionals also helped me connect with others within the firm.
