MPAc Summer Intensive Program Prepares students regardless of undergraduate major to start a master’s degree in accounting in as little as ten weeks.

Led by a distinguished faculty and practitioners in the accounting field, the MPAc Summer Intensive Program provides students the ability to meet the MPAc prerequisite course requirements necessary in just ten weeks.


Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting must be completed before taking these courses.

Students Who Need the Summer Intensive Program

International Students with Foreign Degrees Domestic Non-Accounting Majors Students who need a course(s) to complete accounting prerequisites for entry into the MPAc program
International Students with Foreign Degrees
International students graduating with a foreign degree will start in the summer to complete the requirements using the U.S. GAAP standards and practices.
Domestic Non-Accounting Majors
Non-accounting majors can meet all prerequisite course requirements and be well prepared to start in the fall with just having taken introductory courses. Courses are taught to all accounting levels.

Courses Offered

These undergraduate courses will teach students the foundations of accounting using U.S. GAAP standards and practices critical for success in the MPAc program. In addition, these courses will help students meet the CPA exam and licensing educational requirements.

Pre-session coursework is done over two designated Summer Sessions: two courses in Summer Session I (completed in 5) weeks and two courses in Summer Session II (completed in 5 weeks).

The summer program gave me a head start. I had the opportunity to meet with professors, learn their teaching styles, meet with other students and begin to form study groups, all before Fall classes began. I also got a headstart on networking with alumni and began working with the Career Center to fine tune my resume and cover letter.

Tuition and Fees

Students enrolling in the summer pre-session courses will pay $3,200* per course. Students may take up to four classes. Financial Aid is not available for summer courses. If you are an admitted student and intend to take the Summer Intensive Program, you will be enrolled in your courses automatically by our Program Services department.

The MPAc Summer Intensive Program is open to students looking to meet the accounting coursework prerequisite requirement to start the master’s degree.

No. Students apply through the Fall application and express interest using our accounting coursework verification form. If a student is admitted to the MPAc program, they will automatically be considered eligible for the summer intensive program.

Students must have completed both financial accounting and managerial accounting prior to the start of the summer intensive program.
