Consultations and Workshops
- Initial Career Consultation: In your first consultation, we'll discuss your career goals and provide a comprehensive overview of our Career Services. Together we’ll explore potential career paths in accounting and identify which areas best align with your strengths and skills.

Employer & Industry Engagement
Merage Career Services and UC Irvine offer year-round events to connect students with employers and industry professionals. From career fairs to company visits and networking events, students benefit from strong ties to Irvine’s vibrant business community.
Winter or Spring Internship Opportunities
Eligible students in the U.S. can pursue part-time or full-time winter internships (January-March) or part-time spring internships (April-June). Internship details, eligibility, and the recruiting process will be thoroughly covered during orientation. Internships typically offer competitive pay, and strong performance may lead to a full-time job offer. Please note that internships are not guaranteed, but they are a valuable stepping stone to future opportunities.
Career Resources Access
Students in this program will have access to resources both through the Merage Career Center and the UC Irvine Division of Career Pathways. Some of the valuable tools you'll benefit from include:
- Dual access to both the Merage School job board as well as the University job board.
- Access to a database of company contacts continuously maintained by Merage Career Services.
- Online resources and software designed to help you practice your job search strategies, from company research to resume building to interview preparation.
When I saw that UC Irvine was a school that offered a 6-month long capstone project, this was perfect where you are still learning but also working with a real company, it's been a great program and great experience.
