The 2018 Commencement was a landmark year for The Paul Merage School of Business as students and guests alike celebrated the 50th anniversary of the business school’s first graduating class and recognized the first graduating class from the Master of Finance and the Master of Science in Business Analytics programs.
Following a rigorous review process, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), announced the UCI Paul Merage School of Business has received an extension of its distinguished AACSB accreditation.
Machiavelli “Max” W. Chao, a full time lecturer at The Paul Merage School of Business, has been selected as Lecturer of the Year, a campus-wide honor, for his excellence in undergraduate teaching. Chao will be recognized along with Assistant Professor of Finance David Yang who is the Merage School Dean’s Honoree, during the 25th Annual Celebration of Teaching being held April 26th.
A team of three Full-Time MBA students from the UCI Paul Merage School of Business competed in the Notre Dame MBA Tech Innovation Challenge, taking home first place and a cool $6,000. The final event was held April 22 at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Focused on blockchain, this year’s case competition final event featured seven teams from top universities across the country.
