Greg is a Principal and Lead Portfolio Manager for Affinity Investment Advisors, LLC. He works to maximize the investment team’s decades of experience to the benefit of all accounts, having developed Affinity’s quantitative stock selection, risk management, and portfolio construction models.
Greg brings 28 years of experience working for a variety of firms handling a wide range of clients building a well-earned reputation for his pragmatic quantitative approach to investment. Greg credits his experience as well as that of Affinity team members, who have worked through recent economic cycles of dynamic systemic change, as a primary benefit to clients today.
Greg’s industry experience includes Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Van Kampen and Invesco, Ltd. heading the U.S. Active Equity team, and Quantitative Specialist and Co-Portfolio Manager at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO).
Greg received an MBA from the Paul Merage School at the University of California, Irvine and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UCLA. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Greg is a rehabbing helicopter dad who enjoys fly fishing, tennis, and the quiet solitude of Kauai when not taking on wind mills.
Feroz Ansari is a Senior Principal and Portfolio Manager with Compak Asset Management in Newport Beach, CA. He is a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) certificate. He holds an MIM (Masters of International Management) degree from ASU ‐ Thunderbird, Graduate School of International Management, Arizona, and an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, Pakistan. He has completed risk management, trading, portfolio management, leadership and financial management programs at The Oxford University in England, INSEAD in France, Citibank Training Center‐Singapore, Euromoney in New York and Emirates Bank Training Center in Dubai. Feroz Ansari published a research paper dealing with dual exchange rate mechanisms and has conducted training programs for treasury management and foreign exchange.
