Dr. Blake Clayton is the Co-Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Rondure Advisors, an investment management firm specializing in international equities. He has been with Rondure since its funds’ inception in 2017. He is a Portfolio Manager on its New World (RNWIX) and Overseas (ROSIX) strategies, which focus respectively on emerging markets and developed markets outside the United States.
Prior to joining Rondure, Dr. Clayton was a vice president and senior equity analyst at Citigroup, where he advised companies and investors in the energy and utilities sectors. He served as a fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, working with policymakers in the White House and on Capitol Hill on a variety of economic policy issues.
Dr. Clayton taught finance and economics at the Oxford Institute for Undergraduate Studies. He holds a doctorate from Oxford University, where he studied on a full-ride University Scholarship. He also holds dual master’s degrees from Cambridge University and the University of Chicago, where he was awarded the University of Chicago Endowed Fellowship.
He is the author of Commodity Markets and the Global Economy (Cambridge University Press, 2012) and Market Madness: A Century of Panics, Crises, and Crashes in the Oil Market (Oxford University Press, 2012).
