Chetan Lakhani is a management consultant, and he specializes in the area of Corporate Turnarounds, Private Equity firms, debt restructuring and M&As. He has held Senior Level Management and Vice President/Corporate Officer level positions with several Fortune 500 companies including Flying Tigers (currently part of Federal Express), Smith International (now owned by Schlumberger), and AST Computer. More recently, he served as a CFO with a portfolio company of a major Private Equity firm.

Previously, Lakhani served as adjunct professor with Pepperdine University and taught Corporate Finance, Investments and M&A related courses in the MBA program at the George Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Lakhani received an MBA in Finance from Indiana University; and attended Kellogg School of Business of Northwestern University for his Post-MBA course work. He also holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Poona in India.

Lakhani was a board member and served as President of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) of the Orange County Chapter, a premier M&A national Organization. He also served as a board member of the Development Disabilities Center (DDC) of Orange County, a $40 million non-profit health-care agency, under the contract from the State of California. He also served as a Board Member to oversee Flying Tigers’ multi-million dollar pension/retirement plan of ALPA (Airline Pilot Association). At Chemetron Corporation, he was a Board Member of its employees’ Credit Union. Additionally, Lakhani served as an advisory Board Member on several start-up technology firms.

He has published a paper on pricing strategy “Dynamic Price Models for New-Product Planning” in Management Science.
