Craig Weaver has managed and performed tax planning, consulting, research and compliance projects for privately and publicly held corporations including large and middle market C-corporations, S-corporations, and start-ups. His primary corporate industry experience is in technology and manufacturing. He has extensive experience with complex consolidated corporate transactions, including corporate acquisitions (stock and asset purchases), dispositions of subsidiary companies, international tax issues (CFC and branch operations), and multi-state tax filings (combined state filings, separate filings, apportionment and allocation). Craig also has significant experience in dealing with federal and state tax authorities with regards to corporate income tax audit examinations.

Craig has strong financial accounting knowledge and heavy experience with tax accrual calculations (FAS 109) and disclosures included in Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) Financial Statement Reporting (Form 10-Q, 10-K and S-1 Registration – Initial Public Offering). He also has experience with documentation requirements associated with Sarbanes Oxley (Section 404) and Accounting for Uncertainty in Tax Positions (FIN 48).

Craig has extensive experience in stock based compensation including stock grants, Incentive Stock Options (ISO), Non-qualified Stock Options, and Restricted Stock Grants. His experience includes stock option exercise planning, stock valuation matters, tax treatment of stock options, and Stock Based Compensation (FAS 123R).

For the past 10 years, Craig has lectured at the University of California, Riverside. He has covered numerous tax and accounting topics including corporate contributions and liquidation, choice of entity, and acquisitions. His clients have included such companies as First American Corporation, Microsemi Corp, Universal Electronics, Inc., Consumer Portfolio Services, Inc., Guidance Software, Inc., RemedyTemp, Inc., Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Acacia Research Corporation, and Advanced Medical Optics, Inc.
