Mr. David Young is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Anfield Group, LLC. Anfield Group, LLC is a financial consulting, investment advisory and multi-family office founded in 2009, along with a team of senior executive PIMCO alumni, with the objective of bringing institutional-quality asset management and service to high net worth families and institutional investors. Mr. Young retired at the end of 2008 from his position as Executive Vice President and Account Manager with Pacific Investment Management Company to rejoin the Merage School as Adjunct Professor and form his own investment advisory practice (Anfield Group). From 1999 to 2006 he was head of PIMCO's account management group in London. Prior to joining PIMCO in 1994, he was a portfolio manager with Analytic Investment Management and an account manager at Smith Barney and Harris Upham. He has over 25 years of investment experience, is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Young received his undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. In addition to his regular MBA courses in Bonds & Fixed Income, Portfolio Management, Derivatives, and Private Wealth Management, Mr. Young has previously taught finance and investments courses for The Financial Times Knowledge programs, and for the CFA Institute review programs sponsored by the CFA society of Orange County, the USC / Los Angeles CFA Society, and U.K. CFA societies. He is a frequent public speaker and has published articles on a range of financial topics including economics and investing. and Mr. Young sits on several non-profit Investment Committees and Boards of Directors including the Chartered Financial Analyst Society of Orange County Board of Directors where he also chairs the Investment Committee, The Paul Merage School of Business, Center for Investment & Wealth Management Executive Committee, where he also chairs the center's Journal editorial board, and The County of Orange (California) Healthcare System "CalOptima”.
